The budget for the 1967 Jungle Book film was an estimated $4,000,000, where as the more recent 2016 Jungle Book had a budget of an estimated $175,000,000. This clearly shows that the budget for the 2016 film was considerably higher than the 1967 version of the film. This would be due to the higher expense of SFX and CGI on the 2016 film. A profit of $60,000,000 was made from the 1967 film and the 2016 film made $791,550,600 which shows that the budgets for the film had a great impact on the amount of profit made, as the 1967 film had a lower budget it made a lower profit. On the opening weekend of the 1967 film $5,291,670, 27 was made compared to the 2016 film which made $103,261,464 on its opening weekend.
