OK Go: Representation in Music Video   1. How are Ok Go representing themselves?  All three of the music videos that we watched were done very creatively so Ok Go are trying to portray their creative personalities through the use of colour and different camera shots such as stop motion.  All three of the videos link together as the band seem to have a routine that they preform that involves different objects or places. In the first video treadmills are used to create a dance routine, in the second video a park is use as well as a flash mob to preform for the video, and lastly in the third video, printers are used to create a background in which the band preforms in front of.  2. Explain how the political context in which newspapers are produced, influences their ownership and regulation. 1. Explain the political significance of the concept of 'press freedom' and its relationship to representative democracy. Why do you think freedom of the press is important? How much influence do you think the government should have about the things reported in the UK press? The freedom of the press is important as it creates news stories that can be published without major problems with what coverage or content it includes; although, the government should have a limited control over this as some stories published by the press can be offensive or personal to people, therefore may result to legal action, so newspaper freedom of the press should be monitored and carefully covered so that the company does not get into trouble like the News of The World. Exam question notes Freedom of Press- There are no restraints on the press, so they can put different opinions in the newspaper without the government being able to stop them if they are opinions that the government do not agree with. I believe that the government should have limited control over the media as if they had a strong control over the stories, then some that deserve to be written about, may not be allowed to be published.
