Sigala-
https://www.sigalamusic.com/
Sigala is a DJ who focuses on dance music. His style does conform to general dance music, with the techno beats being very present in the music. We can see from his website that this music is supposed to be happy/ relaxing. Through the use of the bright colours in this background picture it shows how the type of music that he makes is usually upbeat and positive. This style of dance music is used in clubs as well as on places like beaches. We can see this from the background and colours. The text/font of the text is very curvy and playful, suggesting this is what the music is like also.
In contrast-
Don Broco-
This website is representing the British Rock band Don Broco, and you can see that this band do not use pictures of the band themselves, suggesting they are more focused on their music than the appearance of the band. They have got the name of their newest album at the top of the website "Technology" and the font is almost Gothic to represent the edgier/ alternative sound of the band. The picture in the background is relatively abstract, again showing the alternative genre of the band. There is a video of one of the bands latest singles that is available to play on the website, as well as merchandise linked below, and tour dates below that. There is then a part of the website that has pictures from the bands Instagram. Then at the bottom of the page there are links to all of the bands official social medias.
Calvin Harris-
Calvin Harris is a British DJ who is usually known as a dance artist. He tends to conform to the usual ideas about dance music, and uses techno beats in the majority of his songs. This website is supposed to have contrasting colours on like the blue and orange, as it makes the whole page stand out, but it also means that Calvin Harris is representing himself as if he is an alternative style of dance compared to the idyllic scene on Sigala's website. There is a difference because Calvin has used an almost pixelated background which gives a sense of an alternative style.
