Theresa May Front pages

The Daily Mirror has used a satirical image of Theresa May to make the point that she is ridiculous, because they wanted to use a picture which would reinforce the headline that they are using.

This is a misogynistic approach to a front page, as it does not focus on the political subject of this picture, but rather the idea that we should put women up against each other and judge their appearances.

The focus of this front page is that the newspaper were speculating that May and Trump were involved romantically. Again, this is suggesting that May is more important as a woman who has to be in a relationship, rather than a politician.

The Independent is presenting the prime minister in a good way by using this picture, but their headline is much more insulting. They have done this as they do not feel the need to use an unattractive picture to make their point.
