H&M Close the Loop- Shot analysis

This shot is from a high angle to show how the younger people look up to the older lady because she is not afraid to wear things that socially people do not accept as easily. There are all dressed in quite posh clothes, which means this particular shot is aimed at higher class people, and showing that no matter how much money they have, they can still shop at H&M. The two younger people are below the older woman who is lying on a bed, and it represents many generations coming together, as it doesn't matter what age you are, you can still shop in H&M. The voice over says "Wear a short skirt after 40", and it is saying that again, age doesn't affect the clothes you are allowed to wear.

This shot is at a low angle to show how this woman is superior as she is confident enough to go out into everyday life wearing whatever she wants. The fact that she is wearing all these out there clothes to a small corner shop shows that H&M wants people to be confident in who they are. She almost waltzes into the shop, and the facial expression she has is almost telling people to judge her as she doesn't care because she is happy in herself. There are no studio lights in this shot, which emphasizes the fact that this is everyday life and how it is acceptable to wear whatever you want to.

Once again, there is a low angle as the woman is confident in herself, but also the stance that the woman is doing is a very confident pose. The moving train adds depth to the scene as it creates an interesting background for the woman to be in front of, but also the wind that the train creates is good as the breeze blows the woman's hair around. This again makes the shot more interesting, but as does the outfit that the woman is wearing, due to the matching skirt and what appears to be boots. This is another aspect that will draw the audiences attention to the shot.

This is a long shot of the men on the street, and they are all looking directly into the camera. The voice over says "blend in" and they achieve this by having a large amount of men wearing similar things, whilst if you were to have one of these men on their own you may think they stand out due to the attire they have on.
